Travel Shield Plan

"Always on" protection for YOU...YOUR FAMILY... and helps GET YOU HOME quickly if something like a fire or flood happens while you're away on a covered trip.

Imagine if you and your family fly back home for the holidays … only to find yourselves stranded at an airport due to a snowstorm. The airline says it’ll be at least 24 hours before they can get you going again…

Or what if you were getting together with your college friends for homecoming weekend back at your alma mater … everything’s going great … until you get a call from your neighbor at home. He says there’s been a major storm and the wind tore off a huge chunk of your roof. It’s still raining and he’s concerned it may be damaging your house and your belongings. What do you want him to do …

These situations can happen in real-life. They happen to real people. Often when they least expect it. So NRA endorsed a real-world solution. We took action because travel emergencies are happening more and more often. Probably because more and more NRA members are on the go.

  • Visiting friends or family out of state
  • Going on a weekend trip to take in a major league game
  • Meeting friends for a hunting weekend
  • Visiting a son or daughter who’s away at college
  • Getting away for family vacations
  • Going on business trips or attending conventions

It all adds up to a lot more travel than you think … even if you’re not someone who takes fancy vacations every year.

Many people think travel emergencies usually happen to people traveling far away from home … going overseas … or on extended work trips. BUT HERE’S THE TRUTH: They happen to ordinary people. On ordinary trips. Often simply doing ordinary things.

That’s why the NRA has endorsed a brand-new program—an “always on” solution that protects you for every covered trip and every immediate family member, with no need to remember to reactivate benefits for each trip.

Called Travel Shield, this plan is loaded with travel insurance and non-insurance travel assistance benefits*–standing by your side when you’re away from home on any covered trip. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, within the U.S. and around the world.

It’s a great way to deal with emergencies like:

  • Cancelled flights
  • Lost luggage or stolen passports
  • Medical emergencies when you’re out of town … like a heart attack, injuries in a car accident, a sudden illness or even getting hurt in a fall
  • Flying a loved one to you if you’re alone in the hospital and then flying you both back home when you’re on the mend
  • Getting your car back home if it breaks down during your trip

Travel emergencies are never fun. But with the NRA Endorsed Travel Shield, we can help get you out of the emergency situation … and back safely on your way.

As you’d expect from a plan negotiated by the NRA, the new Travel Shield plan is packed full of good things.
